So we are almost going home already and can’t believe how fast the time is going! It feels like we arrived in Phuket yesterday. We went all the way from Phuket to Koh Yao Noi, Koh Phi Phi, Koh Lanta and Krabi to our new destination: Khao Sok National Park. We were looking forward to this for a long time and we finally made it!

Our trip to the park didn’t go as easy as we thought it would be. We took a minivan from Ao Nang to Khao Sok and the driver told us it would take about 2.5 hours to get there. After 2.5 hours we stopped at a local bus station and we thought we arrived at Khao Sok National Park .. Then the driver told us this was just a stop to pick up some travelers and we had to drive for another 2.5 hours! We were fed up, but got to see a bit more from the Thai inlands and eventually enjoyed our ride.

We arrived at The Jungle Camp around 8pm, checked in and got some food. We got an upgrade to a double storage jungle lodge with a 5 star river view and slept like two babies for the night ?. Khao Sok National Park has a lot of wildlife and you can make a lot of tours during your stay. We did just the same!

We went river tubing on the river Sok and enjoyed some limestone cliffs and beautiful scenery along the way. The water was a bit low, but we experienced a few little waterfalls which was a lot of fun! We recommend you to go tubing in the low season so the water isn’t too low.

Our highlight of our Khao Sok stay was bathing and feeding elephants! We went to a sanctuary with a taxi and when we arrived we met two huge and beautiful elephants. The two girls were waiting for us to give them sugarcane. We went on a little walk with them to a nearby pond where they got smeared in with mud to scrub their skin. They loved it! After their wellness retreat we rinsed them off in the river and walked them back for some more sugarcane. We enjoyed every second of it and hope they loved it too.

Next destination is Khao Lak! We can’t wait!
